Avery Sunshine
Avery Sunshine combines R&B, soul gospel and jazz in the style that is his own. Avery Sunshine's work has led her across Broadway to European concerts and festivals to even her participation in the Democratic National Convention. Sunshine is a name that she has given her is Denise White. She is now a resident of Atlanta her birthplace was Chester Pennsylvania. Her musical journey began in the church, where she sang and played piano. She attended Spellman College and began to master the R&B style of Atlanta. The first song to feature her vocals was Stalk You which was a song from Japan's house 12 song. It was remixed and has become a component of her repertoire. The Fighting Temptations was the other soundtrack she sang on. The band was hired as the principal keyboardist for Tyler Perry's musical Meet the Browns in 2005. Jennifer Holliday was the Grammy and Tony Award winner who approached her in 2007 for a position as Choral Director of Dreamgirls which was a stage production at Atlanta's National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine became the focus of attention during four daily shows at the 2008 Democratic National Convention and was then invited to sing at President Barack Obama's inauguration in 2009.
